The Discipline Challenge - Day 6

Day Six..

I have nothing to say, vid says it all :)

The Discipline Challenge - Day 5

Day Five!

Sorry it is long, and I didn't realise how low I sounded - hope you can hear.

I enjoyed today because it was a day of complete meditation; at work, on the bus, on the train, home, everywhere! I was constantly asking God to show me things and He really was, and the more I asked, the deeper I went to see why I do certain things, I began to analyse myself and was able to understand the practical side of achieving my goals.

And yeah I was pretty tired so I couldn't remember all of the rules, and I was kind of mumbling.. Apologies again!

The Discipline Challenge - Day 4

Sorry for the late post, this was Day 4.

Today reminded me that it really doesn't matter how many times you try something, you should never give up, I won't be ;)

I didn't get up at 6am,. Lol, but tomorrow will be a better day.

Today really showed me how much more I want God, it was a day of reflection, and I am so ready for more :)

The Discipline Challenge - Day 1

My 1st Day!

So today was hard, my body really is not used to this but I am determined to make progress through-out the duration of this challenge :)

Being sick did not help, but it showed me how I need to find a way around situations like this for me to be in spirit so that I may hear His voice,

So its done, next to Day 2..

The Discipline Challenge

I, Aneeka Kristiane has now decided to do the discipline challenge!

I saw this first on Mrs Francessca Lewis's blog (www.francesscalewis.wordpress.com) and it inspired me, as my spiritual life is an area that is the most important thing to me, so after coming back from the trip of a lifetime, I've decided to put my flesh on lock and invest more in my spirit.

I will be doing it for 3 weeks with a friend of mine, and will be making a video daily of my journey through this. I know its going to be hard, but I've got my eyes on what I want, which is to be closer to God.

I cannot wait to start sharing my experiences with you guys.

If you want, join us in this, trust me you won't regret it :)

See ya next with Day 1!

Old Post - Showing the difference

This is something that has been on my mind recently, and that is to show the difference.
In speaking with some friends last week, I began to see the importance in showing the difference with God in your life.
Don't get me wrong, when you change and decide to walk with God there are things that naturally change, its evident and without a second though people can see the difference, however there are other, more serious, in which you need to show the difference.
My mentality since finding God has been: God knows my heart, God knows me and who I am, etc. However, only recently have I realised that it is not enough that God knows you, because if people cannot see God in you, how is he supposed to be able to use you?

It's FINALLY my turn!

Even before the campaign was announced, I was excited. I didn't know what it was going to be based on, but I was in and ready, as I had a vision of what I wanted, but was finding it hard to put it into words..
Sacrifice is so funny, because no-one willingly wants to do it, but we all want the result! I knew from the moment I walked into church last Sunday what God wants from me, and the funniest thing is that these are things I should of sacrificed already. I shouldn't of needed a purpose or campaign to sacrifice them.

Oh we'll, at least I know for next time !

Now it is finally my turn!

Who you really are

Hi, Right now I'm sitting in my garden reflecting and I couldn't help but think about my day, and my life in general..I find that when I have moments like these, sitting or walking alone I can really speak God about everything that is in my mind, and its amazing.. it's not a prayer or something organised in a physical way, it is natural, like breathing, I love it.
My brother just pointed something out to me, which was how in the Bible, it said many times that Jesus went up into the mountains to pray, or to be alone. It is mentioned so many times because He was leaving for us the direction to follow. It's only through our communion with God that we know who we are, when there is no church, campaign, purpose of faith, people to look after, under all that who we really are as it is really easy to use these things to cover up or hide behind, but when we are not in church or around people that have the same faith as us, then we will really know who we are, and for this I will be forever grateful, because I remember who I was before and I know who I am now, and it was through moments like this that always revive me and bring me the greatest joy, I had to share with you :-)
And yes, I know we go through battles, hard times, pressure, etc, and yes it can be hard, and you can get caught up, but when you make time to connect with your God, these things will never overtake you, and you'll  be able to deal with the things God will reveal to you to change.
What a privilege it is to know God. :-)

Day 19 - Owww.. That's ugly!

A situation occurred on Wednesday which allowed me to think about something we spoke about in a Godllywood meeting in 2011 with our Big Sister via conference. We were speaking about humbleness..
She was saying to us that someone that is not humble is not born of God. When she said it, it was like a bullet.. Pow! Straight to the heart, if you saw our faces you would of laughed, especially mine. She hadn't explained yet, so the initial thoughts were, am I humble? Umm.. yeah, sometimes.. Looking back on it now its funny, anyways let's get back to the point! :)
So, she began to explain to us, and this key line stuck in my head until this day as a trigger point:
It is not your INITIAL reaction that counts, its your reaction afterwards.
When she said that, it was as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders! As I identified this in myself at times, not all the time but sometimes..
Its like when you get rebuked, or in trouble for something you didn't do, or don't understand, your initial reaction most of the time is: What? Why? I didn't do that! Whether you say it or think it, to be honest is the same thing. Now, the part that counts is after: What do you think after the moment/emotions have died down? Are you still upset, angry or feeling like injustice? If you still hold these things, you need to analyse yourself deeper..
Even when you haven't done anything wrong, we still humble ourselves because we believe God is our judge, not ourselves. This shows real humbleness, not fakeness.

So an opportunity came up for me to practice this, and I can happily say that I did but not straight away.. But like I learnt, its not your initial reaction that matters, its after.

Day 18 - You can have it!

This has really been on my mind each time I pray recently.. During these past days, filling my bag it brought to me; what's the point in holding anything back?  If I die now, I'm not taking anything with me, only my name stays here, how can I not afford to give my all?
I've given my all, to the point that I can say: You can have it all, I have nothing left; in spite of this, there is still more I can give!

When you have your total surrender, you have an assurance that God will answer you, whether its to be born of Him or to become special before His eyes.

Lets keep filling our bag!

Day 17

I can't believe that the 21day is almost over!

I am still filling my bag, everyday as I don't want to leave anything behind. During this time, God has shown me some things, and the main thing that is a constant occurrence is TIME.

The way I spend my time, don't get me wrong, I'm not a time waster, I have a time for EVERYTHING, if you look at my phone you will see my alarm go off when its time to move on to the next task, but I've noticed that God likes spontaneity! Aneeka, what do you mean?

I mean like this..

Your at school/college/uni/work, and your doing your work, concentrating on what your doing and you stop everything, go to the bathroom and start seeking God, telling Him how much you need Him and how you want Him to take full control over your day! Now tell me, do you think that God wouldn't like it? Or He just prefers that routine prayer you make every morning and evening? It shows that it doesn't matter where you are, and what your doing, He is priority in your life, and you make it known.

This is just one, of many examples I can think of to describe how random actions can please our God.

I've learnt over these past few weeks that God likes it when I do these things, as I'm not just saying with my mouth that I love Him, but I'm showing it, and this is something I want to do more of.

I want to take more time, random time to spend and speak to God, to be constantly connected to Him in my thoughts, my spirit to show that He to me is NOT my rest, but my best and my all.

Now what about you?

How I can become Special

Around 3 weeks ago, before the 21days was announced, I was on my to meet someone and was just thinking.. How can I make a difference? What kind of person is special before the eyes of God?

I didn't want to be the same, or one more so I began to think, and ended up composing this list I'd like to share with you today:

- Does everything, no matter how small with their best
- Does the things that no-one thinks of
- Does everything in spirit - connected to God
- Thinks about what they do before they do it
- Fight for those that are given into their hands with their all
- Gives value to the spiritual things above the physical
- Doesn't fight to please/show man
- Does things in private, not to do to show or make shown
- Is Obedient
- Does more than what is expected, or told to them
- Always pushes themselves to do more, breaks their limits
- Never comfortable with their situation
- Never stops challenging God
- Stays in the first love! (Favourite! <3)
- Doesn't look at others
- Depends only on God
- Doesn't wait to be given the direction by the leadership
- Does what is required of them in the best way possible

This is my checklist, use it too!
Got anything to add? Leave your in comments x

My 21 Days

This 21 days as got to be the strongest yet! But to me, it is so much more than cutting off things, but what I'm doing to replace it..
I've done things very differently, my actions have been different, so is my level of sacrifice but as each day goes past, I see that there is something more I can do.
My level of sacrifice must go up, I did to feel the pain, as if I'm comfortable, my spirit is uncomfortable..
Every day I'm increasing, and in this final week I'm going to do more than I've done in the past 2weeks because I want to become SPECIAL. Not before man but before God, I want Him to see that I have no limits and that He can use me for anything, I don't hold myself back, a real Woman of God.
Oh, but there's a price to pay: SACRIFICE.

If you know that your not feeling the pain of your so-called sacrifice, your not doing enough, and this will just be one more purpose in the church for you, but if you say that your prepared to do anything for God, so He can become YOUR God, you need to pay the price.

I'm paying, and it hurts, but I have the assurance that I am on the way to becoming special before His eyes, what about you?

This is not for everyone, but for those that want more of Him, its mandatory.

How's your level of sacrifice? Think about it!

The Work of God Series - Part 3

Like I said previously..
I didn't know what to do, until I remembered something that changed everything!

"Aneeka, why are you here? Are you not here to serve Me? Stop trying to do everything yourself, and remember that your strength comes from Me, NOT YOU!!!"

It was soo strong at the time, let me paint the scene..

The more things I did, the more trouble I would get into, the more everyone around me had something to say, instead of passing faith, making me feel worse. I was looking too much at the situation, and I wasn't using ALL of my mind, resulting in me being
Yes, I admit. I was being emotional.
Me not thinking everything through led me to being emotional. Then because of this, I starte to think I wasn't good enough, I wasn't meant to be here, etc.

So how did I change the situation?

The Work of God Series - Part 2

So..

As I was saying, I started to prepare myself in everyway I could think of to be ready for anything, and that's when my blessing came :)

God gave me more responsibility, but little did I know how different things would be!

From that moment, things changed. It had to, the way I was seen was now different, people saw me differently. Everything I did and said were suddenly so important. I went from no-one really paying any attention to me to everyone paying attention to me, and it was werid :)

I didn't know the first thing to do.. And then so many difficulties came! I was having things thrown at me from every angle - Left, Right, Up, Down, Centre. It was crazy! Lol. What should I do? I didn't have anyone near me that I could really ask, so I felt alone. Then I remembered something that changed everything..

Find out in the next post!

The Work of God Series: Part 1

So.. From the Top
I've been wanting to post this for so long, a thousand times I've planned in my head my blogs and never done it until today, why? Read to find out..

I always had a vision of how I believed serving God was..

I always wanted to do more, not quite sure how but I was willing for any challenge that might come my way, ready to serve my God.
So I id what anyone that is thirsty does.. Look for a drink! I began to prepare my spirit, change my mentality, actions, vision etc. But please don't get this twisted, it was not easy. Correcting your mistakes is never easy, but my desire to be more used was only one, I continued to go in this faith..

Then it started..

Practise what you preach love!

Lool, even the titile of this blog makes me laugh, and its because its just so funny!
I mean think about it, really think about it.. How many times are we quick to mkae comments about other people or cannot wait to offer someone advice on something! Even waiting after the meeting, making eye contact so the perosn know we want to speak to them and offer adviice, but when it comes to us..
All of a sudden its a different story! Lol
But its not!!!!
Why is it so hard to take our own advice, or some people don't like anyone's advice fullstop.

I was just reading over some of my old blogs and thinking that I need to remember and enforce some of the previous things more than I have been..

This is my task and I sugguest you do the same, we learn together, so lets do it!
